	e river for a Santa Cruz Watershed Day of Connection\, a hands-on\neffort 
	to restore and celebrate one of our region’s most important natural\nresou
	rces.\n\nTaking place at Verdugo Park (902 S Verdugo Ave\, Tucson\, AZ 857
	14) in the Barrio\nKroeger Lane\, of downtown Tucson. In preparation of th
	e BKL 104 year anniversary\ncelebration\, this collaborative event—aims to
	 remove 2\,000 pounds of trash from\nthe river while providing participant
	s with a meaningful way to engage with\ntheir local environment.\n\nThe Sa
	nta Cruz River is a rare ecological and cultural lifeline for southern\nAr
	izona. Trash and debris in the river not only degrade the landscape but al
	so\nharm local wildlife and water quality. By participating in this cleanu
	p\,\nvolunteers will help reduce pollution\, improve habitat for native sp
	ecies\, and\ncontribute to the long-term health of the river system.\n\nPl
